Family Link Worker required from 25th February 2011 to cover for maternity leave
Do you want to be part of a dynamic Children Centre team committed to the delivery of integrated health, family support, childcare and education services for children and families?
If so, we are seeking to appoint a full time (35 hours) fixed term Children Centre Family Link Worker. We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced staff member for the post located at Dingle Lane.
This is a fixed term contract through to 25th February 2011, to cover for maternity leave.
The role will include:
To work alongside centre colleagues in providing services to families with children under 5 years of age, and carry out all centre activities.
To work alongside other professionals to support parents in meeting needs of their children.
To undertake home visits as appropriate.
To increase engagement with the local community, particularly hard to reach communities.
Excellent communication skills, with experience of working with children and families.
Commitment to inclusion and team working.
Good organisational and IT skills, and able to work in a flexible manor.
Minimum of 2 years experience of providing support for children and families.
NVQ3 and above in relevant child care, education, Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
